Budget
The primary revenue sources for the Karuvatta Grama Panchayat's annual budget comprise various grants from the Central and State governments as well as the Panchayat's own revenue. Of these, the 'Plan Fund'—allocated directly by the Kerala government for development activities under annual projects—is the most significant. Additionally, the Central and State Finance Commissions provide special grants for infrastructure development and sanitation management. 'Own Revenue'—generated through building tax, professional tax, and advertisement tax within the Panchayat limits, along with license fees for various business establishments and building construction permit fees—also constitutes a major component of the budget funds.
